The speed is calculated by finding out how much data is transferred within 1 second. There are 3 types of USB devices available in market

1) USB 1.0 (oldest one and having very low speed).

2) USB 2.0 (it is having improved speed compared to USB 1.0 and mostly used because of low cost)

3) USB 3.0( Newer one and having faster speed and costlier compared to USB 2.0)

Steps to find out actual speed of your pen drive or USB drive


1) Download the USBDeview from this link.

2) You will get a compressed file after completion of downloading, extract it and double click on USBDeview to run the software.



 3) Now you need to find out your USB device in the list, it can be done by checking the Device Type and Connected columns.

4) Device Type should be Mass Storage and Connected should be Yes and it must have different color.

5) After selecting the USB device, now go to File Menu and select Speed Test or you can also use the shortcut "CTRL+T".


6) Now in the Speed Test window you need to check the drive letter for the confirmation of the USB device.


7) Now click on Start Test to perform the Speed Test of the USB device, after some time you will get the results.

It is required to change the audio format of home made videos or special functions which is held in your home. We use the software called Avidemux for this purpose. Avidemux is a very good video editing software which performs so many operations on video files. In this topic iam going to explain how to change audio track of a video file using Avidemux software.

How to change audio track of a video file


1. Download Avidemux software and install in your system from this link.

2. Now start Avidemux software in your system after that open your video file that you want to change the audio track by using  File>Open.


3. Now select Audio>Select Track from the menu bar to change audio track of video file. Track 1 is already enabled if your video track consisting of audio track.



4. click on "Add Audio Track" to change the audio track and select your audio track from the file explorer.

5. After replacing the audio track, select audio format right besides the track sub menu(copy).


6. You can change the bit rate of audio file by clicking on "Configure" button. This step is optional.



7. After that click on "OK" button two times in a row, Now you can save the video by clicking on File> Save from the File Menu.

8. Now audio track in video file is changed...

Today iam going to explain how to lock the USB drives with password by using 3 different software's.....


1. USB disk Security

 USB disk security is the No.1 Software which provides the security against viruses or threats from USB drive. By Using USB disk security we can also lock the USB drives with passwords easily.. For that install the USB disk security software in your system and then open it by Start> all programs> USB disk Security > USB disk security,

 Now select data protection in the USB disk security, In that you will get two options to lock down the USB drive..   1. USB Access Control    2. USB drive control...

 USB Access control prevents unauthorized users from copying your data to USB drives. USB drive control prevents from unauthorized users from connecting USB drives to your computer and stop any threats from USB drive..You need to setup a password for using these two options in the USB disk security.

2.  USB Port Locked 4.0

 USB Port Locked 4.0 is a free software that protects your USB drive with password and prevents others from plugging the drives in the USB Port. You can download the software from this link..

You will get a compressed file after completion of download, Extract it some where in the folder and double click on "USB Port Locked" icon.. A small popup window open and asks you to enter the password. Here you need to enter the password as "Unlock" in the box, If you want your own password then send E-mail to the developer...

After entering the password click on "Ok" button> USB Port Locked 4.0 Opens> Click on "Lock USB ports " to lock the USB drive, If you want to unlock them then click on " Un Lock USB Ports" button....

Yesterday i went to my relative's house, there i noticed the new feature of Windows 7 that the wallpaper changes for  every few seconds.. Basically i use Windows XP on my computer.. I also want that feature..It can be possible by "Bionix Wallpaper" Software...

Steps to automatically change wallpaper on desktop

For example if we downloaded two videos from YouTube in FLV format and we want to merge or join these two or more video  files into one video file in  another format(Ex: AVI format).
