Name Change Procedure in India

If You want to change your name because of some reasons such as numerology, religion change and personal reasons.. First of all you have to
1.You have to submit a written statement or AFFIDAVIT before Magistrate or Notary.. Like this
you must have the attested copy of Indian citizenship. you have to sign the affidavit in the appearance of minimum two peoples .
2. The next thing you have to do is print an advertisement of your name is changed in minimum two local news papers.. one in your mother tongue and other one is in English . If anyone have objections then they will raise the questions...
3.Next step is to send the notice or announcement of your name change to the gazette of your state.. For that you must contact government printing wing of your state.. they will give forms you have to fill up the form and
Then you have to send a dd of specified fees for changing of the name
For example in Andhra Pradesh the dd fees is 375 rupees...
and it will publish every Thursday.. after publishing your name is changed from old name to new name...
4.After that we have to apply the change of the name in other documents such as your study certificates,Memos and passports etc....you must have the copies of affidavit and gazette notification if possible newspaper AD..
5.You have to change your name in your all bank accounts by submitting the new PAN cards,Passport and proofs...
