How to remove virus from Pen drive without using AntiVirus Software
Now a days everybody is using Pen drive for transferring files from one PC to another PC, But Pen drive can be risky for the System because most of the pen drives consisting of viruses that may harm your computer's data. Today iam going to explain how to delete or remove the virus from pen drive without using Anti Virus program..
Steps to remove virus from Pen drive without using Anti Virus Software
1. Insert Pen drive or USB drive into your PC or Computer, If any popup window opens cancel it...
2. Now go to Start Menu > Run and type the cmd in the run box to open command prompt window
3. Type the drive letter of your pen drive or flash drive in the command prompt window and press enter....( Example if it is G: then write it as
4. Now first check out the hidden files in the pen drive or flash drive with the help of command prompt, Type the command in the command prompt and press enter as shown in the picture..
5. Now checkout the list of the files, Search for the following viruses in the list of the files
1. autorun.inf 2. newfolder.exe 3.info.exe 4.Ravmon.exe 5.funnyvideo.exe 6.RVhost.exe
other file extension....
6. If you find any one of this viruses in the list, type the command in the command prompt and press enter as shown in the screen..
7. Delete the each of the virus in the list by using "DEL" command in the command prompt
(ex: del newfolder.exe).........
8. Now check again the list after deleting the files by using DEL command, If they are not found means the viruses are deleted by using command prompt...
Note: Here h, r , s , a are the attributes that each folder and file in the hard disk.... If you add minus(-) sign before it means we are deleting all the attributes from the file, If we add (+) plus sign before it means we are adding all the attributes to the file...
